Mariam Clinic | Volunteer

: Health Clinic Volunteers; Volunteer orientations are held the first Sunday of each month at 12 noon.

Please RSVP to clinic@mariamclinic.org.

We need licensed volunteers to serve as:
• physicians
• social workers
• registered nurses
• nursing assistants
• lab technicians

No medical experience is necessary. Non-medical volunteers can also help out by working as:
• interpreters
• medical records coordinators
• receptionists
• eligibility screeners

: Internships; The Mariam Clinic has teamed up with various departments (in fields ranging from business to social work) at UNC - Chapel Hill, Duke University, Meredith College, and NC State to sponsor semester-long internships. Anyone who has completed at least three months of volunteer service with the Mariam Clinic is eligible to apply for an internship position. Please contact the Clinic Director for more information or to request an application.

: Shadowing Program; We also offer a competitive program for pre-medical students who are interested in shadowing the clinic's physicians on a weekly basis. Anyone who has successfully completed a full-semester internship with the Mariam Clinic is eligible to apply for the shadowing program. Contact the Clinic Director for more information.
